This weekend OpTic Dota is set to start another invitational tournament. The Midas Mode Invitational will take place over the course of ten days between November 18th – 28th.
During this extended event, OpTic Gaming will face off against Evil Geniuses, Immortals and DC with an interesting twist. Midas Mode includes a custom ruleset with regards to in-game actions which will see each team receive a set amount of currency (MOONBUCKS) at the start of their tournament. Teams must then budget their MOONBUCKS to draft or ban heroes, pause games and pick sides throughout the event. Hero costs will vary and if a team runs out of currency they can earn back MOONBUCKS by choosing heroes at random, passing on hero bans, completing community challenges and betting on matches in the European bracket.
Although there is not yet a full schedule released OpTic Gaming kicks things off on Sunday November 19th against DC and Immortals before facing Evil Geniuses on Tuesday.
